Drug and Alcohol Testing

Jungle Source has strategic alliances with some of the industry's top drug testing laboratories: eScreen, MedTox, and Quest.  This allows us to provide turnkey solutions for your nationwide drug and alcohol testing programs which provides access to more than 5,000 collection sites across the country.

The DOT requires drug and alcohol testing for safety-sensitive transportation employees, including:
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA)
  • Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
  • Federal Transit Administration (FTA)
  • Maritime Administration (MARAD)
  • Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA)
We can also manage industry specific DOT testing programs. These programs include the random selection process, testing management, and providing a quarterly statistical summary. In non-DOT industries, drug and alcohol testing are equally important. Pre-employment oral fluid drug testing data showed a sharp increase (15.7%) in the positivity rate from 2011 to the first-half of 2012 (4.4% vs. 5.1%). This increase is likely related to the increase in marijuana positivity rates, which was driven by changes in testing technology. The positivity rate in random oral fluid drug testing is up 12.1% from 2011 to the first-half of 2012 (3.3% vs. 3.7%). This increase reversed the 8.3% decline seen between 2010 and 2011.
